RAINBOW LORIKEET PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away from the main road in Aspley, this charming local park requires a pleasant stroll through leafy pathways to reach its heart. The well-maintained playground proves perfect for little ones, while recently added exercise equipment sits in excellent condition nearby. A shelter with picnic table and electric barbecue makes for convenient family gatherings, though the conspicuous absence of toilets remains the park's singular shortcoming. The abundant greenery creates a peaceful atmosphere ideal for quiet reading or meditation, accompanied by a delightful chorus of native birds. Fair warning though – the resident magpies rule this roost, and after rain, the pathways turn decidedly muddy with limited sunshine filtering through the canopy.
